Expo Ormstown 2015

Rides, cotton candy, tractors, and farm animals… does it get any better??? Nope!

The family and I headed to the Expo Ormstown this week-end to experience some good ol’ fashion country charm, and I was not disappointed.   The fair takes place from Thursday to Sunday and is approximately a 45-minute drive from Montreal. There is a nominal fee to access the grounds for adults, but children under 5 years old are free and there is parking available on-site. The rides are not included in the entry and coupons had to be bought for 1$ each or you could purchase a bracelet for 30$ that gives you unlimited access. The rides varied from 3 to 5 coupons and there were some for all ages. I loved riding the ferris wheel and driving bumper cars. I also got eat some super sweet cotton candy and check out a cow competition (4H). It really is a lovely outing for families and adults alike and a nice way to start the summer off. I didn’t stay for the evening, but they have a great program with musical guests and tractor pull competitions. If you plan on checking it out next year make sure you bring some healthy snacks with you and lots of water. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I really loved checking out the extensive collection of poultry (check out the furry white one in my pictures below!) and watching the judges evaluate each chicken!
