Diner en Blanc Montreal 2015

Another year, another lovely evening.  It was my fifth time attending the dinner and I am always super curious to know where it will be held.  This year it was at the Clock Tower in the Old Port of Montreal and I must admit it was a great choice.  From my table I had a fantastic view of the marina and the tower.  As always, participating in the event requires a healthy dose of patience and stamina.  You have to appreciate the effort it takes to coordinate all these people who arrive at more or less the same time at a given venue.  Last year I had been advised to be at my starting point for 5:30PM and only left at 7:00PM which was a real bummer to waste all that time standing idly by.  However, this year it was much quicker, which I am thankful for.  The actual event was lots of fun, as it always is.  You have the start of dinner punctuated by the spinning of the napkins in the air and then the dancing starts with the sparklers.  I don’t go out dancing nearly as much any more, so I can always count on this dinner for some good music and lots of time on the dance floor.  I did leave a tad early because I was heading out on a roadtrip the next day, but I am happy I still made plans to attend.  Of course, now that this year is done I am already thinking about where it will be next time.  I would love for it to be around Mont-Royale… so hint hint to the organizers 🙂  If you haven’t already, you can check out my post about the dinner last year, and some tips to survive your first dinner.

Did you attend the dinner this year? Have you attended one in another city?  If so, let me know what your experience was like!
