On August 14 the annual Diner en Blanc took place in Montreal. In it’s sixth year, this event brought together approximately 5500 guests for dinner under the stars at one of Montreal’s landmarks. This year we gathered at Place des Festivals near Place des Arts. For those unfamiliar with the Diner en Blanc here is a brief history lesson: the dinner originates from Paris where members discover the location of the dinner the night of and congregate to a popular city location all dressed in white, carrying their chairs, tables, and fine meal. This event is lots of fun but it does require a certain amount of patience as the logistics to organize this many people can be lengthy and complicated. You also need some luck because you are having dinner outdoors, rain or shine. If you can look past this, it’s just a good time and a terrific way to spend an evening al fresco eating yummy food and some dancing to clothes the night.
All dressed in white!
