Battery phone case: From taking pictures, sending emails, and checking out the local transportation schedule, smart phones have become the quintessential travel accessory.  A battery phone case will ensure that your travelette will get the extra mile out of her phone and not be a slave to finding an outlet.

7. Sunglasses: The perfect accessory to cover red eyes after an overnight flight and look effortlessly chic.  A funky pair of shades turns any look into star- worthy.  Plus it’s important to maintain eye health when spending long days outdoors exploring an exotic destination.

8. Suitcase:  For the amateur or seasoned traveller, a new piece of luggage is always welcomed.  Luggage can get pretty badly treated by airlines, so don’t pick out the cheapest product or it won’t last very long.  I really like the Victorinox brand for light-weight and sturdy travel wares.

9. Red lipstick: While it’s tempting to bring a bag-full of cosmetics when travelling, but after hauling my 25kg backpack through Europe I’ve learnt less is more.  Nothing is more classic than a beautiful red lipstick, it instantly makes you look way more put together than you likely are.
