Much like the way the F1 race kicks off summer in Montreal, the Santa Clause Parade is the official start to the holidays. As a former participant of the parade I know first hand the hard work and energy that goes into pulling off this event. However, this year was the first time that I went to watch the parade. Taking place along Ste-Catherine street in downtown Montreal, the parade features so amazing floats including a toy factory, sugar shop, and of course Santa Clause. It draws quite the crowds, so if you want a good view make sure you get there early and pack some warm clothes and hot coffee as it gets chilly. I really enjoyed seeing all the costumes and decorations, and it definitely put me in the holiday mood. Definitely check it out next year!
