Travellers are always looking for an amazing new destination or tricks to scoring cheap airfares (check out this tip). But recently I was cleaning out my desk and found my old travel journals. I have to admit I am not always very diligent about spending time writing on trips, but I have about 4 different journals. I decided to skim through some of the pages and I was instantly reminded of places I visited, embarrassing stories, and the everyday banalities of life abroad. Most of this stuff I would have completely forgotten had I not taken the time to jot it down. Therefore, the best travel tip I can ever share is to take a moment and write things down. One of the reasons I started this blog was in part to share with family what was happening to me, but obviously a lot was left out due to privacy reason or just TMI. Having a private journal or notes file on a tablet allows you to be more descriptive and open about what you are experiencing. The opportunity to go back and read your own adventures down the road really is priceless and worth the energy. And who knows it may inspire your own memoirs or Hollywood film 😉
How do you document your travel experiences?
