Bali road trip and Singapore

I am at my final destination of this trip, Singapore city. Yesterday was a super busy day. I headed out to Kuta beach to take an introductory surf course. As it turns out, I am born to surf. A billabong scout was there and he recruited me for the professional competitions. Just kidding ;). While I did take a number of spills, I did manage to stay upright on the surf board a few times! The water was amazing, clear and slightly cool. Afterwards, a driver picked us up and we headed to Jimbaran beach and Padang Padang beach on the way to Uluwatu temple. Jimbaran was disappointing because there was soooo much garbage floating around and the water was murky. Padang Padang is awesomely located at the bottom of a cliff just walking down is an adventure. Uluwatu is a laid back town and I think that carries over to the beach atmosphere. The temple visit was interesting with the driver acting as our tour guide. However, it was much less ornate than what I was expecting. The view from the cliff was worth it though. Getting back to Sanur took awhile and by the time we got back I was exhausted. The flight was at 6AM so I only slept 4 hrs. Singapore seems to be a mix of Vancouver meets London, atleast in the main colonial core. Tomorrow I am heading to little India and getting mentally prepared for the long trip home. I am starting to miss my bed and shower!
