Stoneledge Sculpture Garden

Stonehedge sculpture park

I have been quite busy as of late and a draft of this post has remain half completed for a number of months, so as I am getting back into my blog I wanted to make sure this one got published!  Today I am bringing you some pictures from a quirky roadside stop found on Route 9 just south of Plattsburgh called Stoneledge Sculpture Garden.  There is no announcement for the attraction so if you head out to look for it, make sure you keep your eyes peeled!  It’s easy to just drive by.  This cool spot is apparently part of Jackie and Dick Sabourin’s property and the brain child of Jackie who exposed a few sculptures in the old horse pasture.  Eventually, John Kokoszka (a local sculptor) stored some of his work on the property and Jackie decided to expose them in the garden.  There is a total of 35 pieces that can be viewed and they are pretty unique and appear to be made of found objects.  Enjoy the sneak peek and make sure to check it out if you find yourself in the area!
