Well I had yet another opportunity to access a computer so I thought I would write again, maybe provide some more information. Last night we had our fancy indian dinner. We got to learn how to wear a sari, more complicated than you would expect but actually pretty comfortable. FYI, the sari I purchased is 100% silk, green with little gold flowers with a rhinestone at the center of each. The border is gold and dark orange, same as the palau (end of the sari). It is simple but nice and will make great curtains eventually 😉 After we got dressed we got mehendi done on our hand, I have become a real hendi junkie lol…. i love the stuff and intend to get some more done once I am home. Then we got to learn Indian stick dancing before we sat down for dinner… It was great, we ate on the floor on plates made out of palm leaves. The food was delicious and I don’t know the names of each one. I have lots of pics though. Post-meal we got together to watch a bollywood movie in the hall. It was the three idiots and it was hilarious… Nothng like three guys singing and dancing in towels. Today was a free day so I went to visit Deep Griha Society that does HIV AIDS outreach and education. I got an awesome t-shirt from there… Then I went to MG Road which is a popular shopping place for lunch and some souvenirs (bought my second punjabi !) But I didn’t check the pants so they are the western ones…. they still fit though… Now it is afternoon tea, yes there is chai, yummy! So yeah those are just some of the things I have been doing! All is well and the shopping is a woman’s dream, I found this amazing mirror for cheap, but no way could I fit it in my backpack! If I get the chance I will try to upload some photos…. Cheers!

Sounds like fun! When you get back, you will have to show us how to put on a sari and dance with those sticks:) I am soooo jealous you watched a Bollywood movie! Those are the best and fun to watch. If you caught the name, I would totally want to check it out (hoping they have english sub-titles!).
Can't wait to hear more stories!
No fair, your sari sounds gorgeous!!! 😛 And why aren't you buying me anything? LOL Love you! xx
