Udaipur

I am running out of time at the computer, but let me start by saying that the next city I am going to has no internet access, so it will likely be quiet for the next couple of days.
Udaipur is referred to as Venice of the east…. it has a number of lakes and pretty palaces, but I am starting to see a trend with Indian cities. We visited to City Palace where they were setting up the courtyard for an INSANE wedding…. think 500,000 dollar price tag minimum. We then did a boat ride around the lake Pichola and finished with lunch where it took 1h15min for us to get our food… joy. In the afternoon, I shopped surprise surprise. I did find a place ot buy carpets, so now I am contemplating if I get one or not. Will decide this afternoon. This morning I woke feeling gross and nauseous. It was an unpleasant morning at the washroom (too much detail, sorry). Now I am fine, but I was suppose to take an indian cooking class. Bailed out cause the thought of Indian food made me feel worse. Nothing else is happening, some down time… By the way, has anyone received my postcards yet?!?! Ok, got to head off. Cheers!

Wow…so many interesting stories! I love how you rode both an elephant and camel, got multiple visits from monkeys, seen beautiful temples and climbed a mountain! I can't wait to see what you have bought…you must have so many beautiful items (By the way, I love the story about the man calling out your name at the market..I would have had a heart attack too if I was in that situation!).

Hope you are feeling better and that your nausea will be gone soon. Have you sent postcards to my house? Cause I haven't received anything yet.

Omg Carla, are you okie?! Being away and not feeling well is not such a good feeling. I'm sure you would want to be home in that situation. Just becareful what you eat(think of me and my delicate stomach lol)
I'm sure the cooking classes would have been fun.. you could have cooked us some Indian food upon ur return!(it's okie tho, all that matters right now is that you're feeling better.
It's crazy how quickly the month has passed by, you'll be back home very soon!:)-Rina

lots of things you are experiencing during your trip! Hopefully your nausea passed and you are back on your feet! The only thing you are missing back home is the really cold weather (which i'm sure you probably don't miss… lol). Enjoy what is left of your trip!
