Back on Canadian soil! I was up early this morning to catch the ferry to Victoria, BC with Clipper Vacations. I was impressed by how smoothly the whole travel experience went. You can check in your bag free of charge and there is a light food and beverage service on board including duty free. You can also head out in the second deck to take some lovely pictures of the Seattle coast line. In Victoria I was greeted with beautiful, warm and sunny weather so I decided to wheel my heavy luggage instead of opting for a taxi. Luckily my hotel wasn’t very far. After checking-in I went down to the harbour, visited the Empress hotel, and snap photos of the parliament. I was amazed how quiet it was compared to previous trip in the spring time. I was feeling pretty tired so I headed back to my hotel weaving through different streets to find cool shops and restaurants. A complete list of recommendations will be forthcoming in a Canadian Postcard post. For dinner I headed to Matisse, rated number one of all restaurants on Trip Advisor. The restaurant is known for French cuisine with a prix fix 4-course menu that is well worth the money. I was thrilled that the food and service lived up to my expectations. A review to follow shortly as well! I’m exhausted from a long day so heading to bed. Goodnight 😉
