I am writing this post live from Kuala Lumpur! I made it alive! Gravol is my new best friend on long haul flights. I took two of them about 3 hrs into the flights and easily slept about 7 hours. I woke up in time for breakfast and the landing. Before I start writing about Malaysia, I need to comment about Disney. I watched Frozen and then about 3/4 of Tangled. First, what happened to the face of their girl characters?!? 3/4 of their face is made up of their eyes! Notice it’s not the same with boys. They all look like bratz dolls. It is not appealing to me. Secondly, the story lines were so dull and seriously dumbed-down from the data of Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid. In those days the conflict was much more dramatic, even the comedy stank in the new movies. Ok, rant over.
So what about Kuala Lumpur…? Well honestly I think I was expecting the chaos of Mumbai and instead transferring out of KL was easier than Montreal. The people are super nice especially comparing them to the snooty French people. It ridiculously humid but luckily our hotel is part of an inside sky bridge that connects it to the convention center, a few malls and other attractions. So no need to head out. For supper we ate at the food court where the cooks prepare the food in front of you. I had beef with bokchoy and bean sprouts…Then I had a Hungarian funnel cake lol. They just looked so good and made me nostalgic of Budapest. Now I am relaxing in my room and getting ready for my conference tomorrow.
I am hoping to get out a bit in the next few days before heading to the rainforest.
I knew you would make it safely! Glad things are well in Kuala Lumpur and that you are liking the food. As for the new generation
Oops…sent the message before I finished! As I was saying, the new Disney movies are sooo good Carla! You are just being super picky and analytical about it. The whole is to relax and lay back while enjoying the simple stories! Lol
YAY!! You made it safe and sound! Glad the gravol helped!enjoy ur time there!
