After having seen a large part of Canada over the years, I finally got the opportunity to visit Halifax, Nova Scotia. In planning for my visit I knew the priority would be sampling the awesome seafood fresh from the ocean. After a quick flight in the morning, I spent the afternoon discovering the downtown area. I visited the Public Gardens, the Citadel, and part of the port. The weather was lovely, perfect for exploring. I had dinner at the Waterfront Warehouse because I wanted to sample raw oysters for the first time. My waiter was incredibly helpful in selecting a starter oyster which turned out to be much more enjoyable than I expected. I followed up with some yummy calamari and the main attraction: 1 1/2 pound lobster. The food was great and I had a nice view of the water. Couldn’t ask for anything better! I still had some space left so I picked up a cupcake and butter cookies for dessert. All terrific and yummy!
