Eating through the city

It was a long day but when all was said and done I had completed my food list. I started the morning at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. Although the exhibit is small it was nice to see where my grandparents arrived. I laughed at a display that mentioned Italians were notorious for trying to smuggle in dried sausages and meat. Sounds familiar. I also met a volunteer who worked as a customs officer back in the fifties. Afterwards I visited the farmers market and headed to Alexander Keith’s Brewery for a tour. It was AMAZING! Highly recommend it for anyone traveling in the area. Forget the boring explanation on beer fermentation. This was all back traditional spirit and song. After all the beer, I had fish and chips by the water and grabbed the ferry to Dartmouth. It’s an inexpensive way of getting beautiful coastal photos. I also dropped by to gamble 5$ at the casino. It took all of 1 minutes before it was gone. I hate gambling. I finished the day at the Five Fishermen. I had the seafood chowder that was perfection followed by blackened artic char. I couldn’t pass up dessert so I went with sticky date pudding with caramel sauce and apples. It was all heavenly. I also managed to see all the main sites downtown so tomorrow will be quieter.
